Terms & Conditions

  1. All training sessions will be confirmed by Born 2 Lead via telephone call, text message or email at least 24hours prior to the commencement of the session.
  2. Payment:
    1. Where BACS payments are to be made, these must be received and cleared at the bank at least 24 hours prior to each session.
    2. For Card, Cash or Cheque payments, these can be made immediately before each session commences.
  3. An initial consultation fee of 20% of the agreed session costs will be charged for the initial consultation and evaluation, which will be deducted from the first session cost should you wish to proceed with the training.
  4. It will be the responsibility of each dog owner to clear up after their own dog except in circumstances where the owner is not present.
  5. The trainer is there to guide, support and reassure, however the owner will have full responsibility for the dog during all sessions.
  6. Evidence must be produced to confirm the current vaccination status of each dog, failure to do so, or where dogs are unvaccinated, they will not be permitted to take part in any training sessions. The full session cost(s) will still apply.
  7. During the initial Consultation, the trainer must be made aware of any health problems/ injuries the dog may have and must be updated should these change at any time.
  8. For the safety of the dog and trainer any bite history or known aggressive behaviour must be declared during the initial consultation. Please be aware that where such behaviour is known a muzzle may be used at the discretion of the trainer.
  9. Whilst we openly encourage children to be present at training sessions it will be the responsibility of the parents / guardians to maintain proper control and enforce strict rule compliance at all times. We would ask all parents / guardians to make their children aware of the importance of the training sessions.
  10. Cancellations of sessions requires at least 48 hours’ notice. Failure to give the proper notice will require the full payment of the session cost.
  11. Travel costs may apply for trainers to travel to some areas. This will be discussed and confirmed during the initial consultation.
  12. We want you and your dog to achieve highest level of success. In order to achieve this, we use both positive reinforcement and corrections. Every dog is different and therefore various tools may be used, such as slip leads, prong collars, slip collars, crates and e-collars to ensure the best possible results in each case.
  13. All dogs must be kept under control at all times, using leads, long lines or safety clips. Dogs must only be let off lead once instructed by the trainer.
